A trip to Cat Ba island can be separated or combined with a visit to Halong Bay. This is the largest island in the Cat Ba Archipelago that consists of 350 limestone outcrops adjacent to Halong. This is an oasis where you can be apart for one or a few days during a long voyage. With an area of 356 square km wide, Cat Ba encompasses forested zones, coastal mangrove and freshwater swamps, beaches, caves, and waterfalls. In 1986, the Northeast side of the island was designated a National Park, including a protected marine zone. Cat Ba Island supports a population of over 20,000, most of whom live off fishing or farming in the South, in and around Cat Ba Town. The town is small and ancient, with clusters of fishing boats and inspiring sunsets across the harbor.

Day 01 : Hanoi - Ha Long (L, D)
Pick up at Hanoi station about 9.30 am. Transfer to Ha Long, have lunch & check in hotel. Have a rest & free for swimming in the beach. Dinner & overnight in Ha Long.

Day 02 : Ha Long - Tuan Chau island  (B, L, D)- about 4hours on boat.
Free for swimming in Ha Long. Brerakfast and take 3.5hrs bus trip to Halong with a short-break en route. Continue drive through lots of beautiful countryside. Get on-board upon arrival. Cruise among thousands of spectacular limestone islets to contemplate the stunning beautiful scenery of Halong Bay. You can lunch on boat or at restaurant. In the afternoon, you visit Tuan Chau Island & have wonderful swimming. Dinner & overnight in Ha Long.

Day 03 : Ha Long - Cat Ba  island  (B, L, D)- about 4.30 hours on boat.
Free for swimming in Ha Long. Breakfast and take 3.5hrs bus trip to Cat Ba island ( 4.30 hours). Check in hotel & have lunch. Free time for swimming at Cat Co 1, Cat Co 2 beaches in the afternoon.  Dinner & overnight at hotel in Cat Ba Island.

Day 04 : Cat Ba  island – Ha Long (B, L, D)
Free time for swimming at Cat Co 1, Cat Co 2 beaches in the morning.  Breaskfast, lunch at restaurant. Back to Ha Long, check in hotel & dinner. Overnight in Ha Long.

Day 05 :  Ha Long Bay – Hanoi - see off (B, L)
Free time for swimming. Back to Hanoi, have lunch. Go shopping in the afternoon & transfer to the Train station for departure. End of services.
