THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF MONGOLIAN HISTORY
The Mongolian National Museum was first established in 1924 with the aim of introducing the history, culture, and natural environment of Mongolia to its visitors. The National Museum of Mongolian History is a cultural, scientific, and educational organization that presents Mongolian history and culture from the dawn of humanity to the present day. The exhibition divided :

Natural history involves historical process of 4.7 milliard years of that is very long term from the origin of the world until the origin of plant, animal and human. Thus the museum shows the briefness of these events by exhibitions and contributes knowledge to peoples mind. The museum consists of:
- Mongolian geography, ancient volcanoes, stones from the volcanoes - Earth origin, planet studying meteorites - Geological history, useful resources, minerals - Ancient and contemporary botany - Land fauna /mammals, birds, fishes, insects, reptiles, amphibious/ - Very ancient plant and animals /paleontology/ - Human origin Time table: Summer : 10.00am-17.00 pm daily in June -September Winter : 10.00am-16.30 pm Tuesday-Monday holidays in October-May CHOIJING LAMA TEMPLE MUSEUM The complex of temples was built between 1904 and 1908. Before it was
originally a temple for Choijin Lama Luvsanhaidav, the younger brother
of the last Bogd Khaan and State Oracle. It houses, among other works
of art, an impressive collection of masks and costumes formerly used in

This
palace known as The green palace was built between 1893-1903 during 10
years by Mongolian masters and dedicated to the YIII Bogdo gegeen, the
head of lamaist religion & last khan of Mongolia.Bogd khan palace
museum consists of seven Summer Prayer temples and the winter palace.
The collections of the museum include unique and valuable objects
related to Mongolia's political, religious, and artistic history from
the 17 to early 20-th centuries: bronze castings, silk paintings,
mineral paintings, and paper icons made by well-known artists and
artisans of the period, among others the first Bogdo Javzundamba
Zanabazar and his school; Bogdo khan palace and is divided into 12
parts: sculpture, scrolls paintings/thangka/, applique, wood carving,
religious objects, clothes, furniture, decorative arts, collection of
stuffed animal, special collection, support collection and
architecture.

International
Intellectual Museum is home to the biggest puzzle-chess set in the
world. One side of the board depicts historical figures of Mongolia
while the other shows famous Mongolian from the recent times. The king
on one side is represented by the joint figure of Chinggis Khaan giving
a sword to Lord Onobold, with the queen shown as prince Tsogt writing
his famous manuscript on a stone. On the other side of the board, the
king is illustrated as Mongolian President N.Bagabandi who is giving an
award to the great wrestling champion B.Bat-Erdene, while the queen is
depicted as two other champion wrestlers J.Monhbat and H.Bayanmonh
locked in combat. The museum also features a large collection of
puzzles and toys from Mongolia and abroad.
Time table: From Monday-Saturday 10.00 am-18.00pm . THE ZANABAZAR MUSEUM OF FINE ART
The
museum was named in honor of the first Bogd Khaan, Mongolian Buddhist
leader- Zanabazar (a gifted painter, sculptor, linguist, and
architect). It opened in 1966 and shows Mongolian art from the
Paleolithic Age (early Stone Age) to the early 20th century. The museum consists of several types; a land of rock paintings, cold and bronze decorative works, Zanabazar’s creative works, thanka and graphic paintings , and patchworks.

Mongolian National Modern Art Gallery (MNMAG) was separated from the Fine Arts Museum of Mongolia in 1989, and it launched its independent operation to make the public familiar with Mongolian modern fine/visual art works.
The Mongolian National Modern Art Gallery is a government art service providing agency with the function to give esthetic and art education to the population by exposing visual art, systematically collecting and exhibiting Mongolian modern and contemporary art; conducting studies and research, promoting and preserving them; enriching its collections; documenting the social, historic and cultural evolution and progress.

The
history of Ulaanbaatar from its foundation in 1639 to the present day
is illustrated through photographs, paintings and tapestries.
Noteworthy items include a panorama of Ulaanbaatar carved on an
elephant tusk to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the modern city
(1974) as well as woodblock prints by the artist D.Natsagdorj.

MONGOLIAN MILITARY MUSEUM
The Mongolian military museum was opened in 1996.The museum is subordinated to the Ministry of Defense. The Mongolian military museum has approximately 8000 possessions related to the history of Mongolian army. The museum have 2 halls with more than 3000 exhibits about the army’s structure , regulations and formations of the countries that were dwelling in the territory of Mongolian from new stone age XX c, from XX c until nowadays.

The Mongolian theatre museum was opened in 1991.The museum presents the performing art’s history including the history through photos, stenographs sketches and models , posters , costumes, puppets, paintings and documents etc.The museum has collection of 7000 objects. The collection covers most forms of live entertainment, especially theatre, dance, opera, circus,cinema.
